It strengthens the body&#8217;s defenses, while the supply of saffron to the heart and cardiovascular system is invaluable. It is anticoagulant, helps<strong> reduce bad cholesterol<\/strong>, stimulates heart function and increases blood circulation as a natural anticoagulant. It contributes significantly to the prevention of diabetes, and the formation of atherosclerotic plaques. Its strong antioxidant action protects against the formation of cancer cells and their proliferation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p lang=\"el-GR\"><span lang=\"en-GB\">In addition, saffron contributes to the <strong>healthy functioning of the brain<\/strong>, enhances memory, and has been shown to protect against degenerative brain diseases such as Altzheimer and dementia. On a spiritual and psychological level, it is considered an effective sedative and fights irritability and stress. People suffering from liver or kidney diseases should avoid the use of saffron. Doses higher than recommended are highly toxic, and extensive use can be addictive.
