Evening primrose has a high content of fatty acids, minerals and vitamins, which protect the body and, of course, the skin. The oil, which is extracted from the seeds of the plant, is suitable both for internal consumption and for cosmetic use.

Its thin texture makes the evening primrose oil excellent for sensitive, very dry skins, with a tendency to dermatopathies. Its use is ideal for all skin types, but also for preventing aging of the skin, as it offers elasticity and nourishment. More specifically:

It treats acne, balancing secretion of sebum from the glands. This is due to the fact that primrose is a powerful hormone-regulating plant. Period abnormalities and lack of hormone balance in men and women play an important role in the emergence of acne in adults. For satidfying results, of course, it is not enough to use the oil externally but it also needs internal consumption. Certainly, however, the use of primrose oil directly on the skin will quickly reduce inflammation and irritation to an acne skin.

It regenerates the tired skin and faces signs of aging skin, treating also the sensitive area of ​​the eye. It reduces fine wrinkles of expression and provides firmness. Balancing the hormones offered primrose, plays an important role as its consumption is ideal during the menopause period. Another important property of this herb is the treatment of dark spots, using the oil directly in the area.

Significant is the contribution of primrose to skin diseases such as eczema, psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, irritations and inflammation. Of course, efficacy is due to the anti-inflammatory, moisturizing and soothing effect of evening primrose.

In dry skin it immediately reduces pulling, softens the skin and offers elasticity. This is due to its intense moisturizing action and rich ingredients that deeply nourish the skin.

Beneficial for the hair and nails too, the oil treats and prevents hair loss, strengthens the hair and helps them to grow faster, reduces white hair while nourishing the scalp. The oil can also be used for itching and dandruff. To prevent hair loss and to strengthen hair, internal consumption has better and more direct results.

An extra positive feature is the strengthening of the nails. If you have fragile nails that break or peel you can massage the fingers at night before bedtime for 1 month.

It is important to choose a clean, good quality oil and keep it in the refrigerator as it has a low life span and is easily oxidized.

Precautions: Do not ingest internally when you have low blood pressure, as well as having diabetes as it can cause hypoglycemia. If you are allergic, it’s rare but can cause symptoms such as irritation, nausea and vomiting. If you experience a symptom, stop immediately. During pregnancy, consult your doctor before taking any supplement.
