Chamomile is one of the herbs of Greek nature that you will meet even on the edge of the road blooming. It is widely known for its sedative, antiseptic and soothing properties.

Beneficial for the digestive system, it is ideal for cases of stomach inflammation during digestion and generally severe stomach upset and ulcers. It is anti-inflammatory and antispasmodic.

The exterior use is ideal for abrasions and fast wounds healing, while chamomile washings relieve gum, mouth, throat and mucous membranes. It is particularly soothing to the pain of babies during the time they make their first teeth. It is used for inflammation and irritation in the eyes of babies, adults and even our pets.

As a decoction, chamomile helps a lot in intense headaches, toothaches and fever as painkiller and soothing. It is effective for dealing with colic in infants!

Particularly beneficial to emotional stress, relaxes and calms the nerves, is a mild sedative and antidepressant. It is recommended for treating insomnia in adults and children.

While chamomile is generally considered harmless, it should not be consumed for long periods of time, it is considered allergenic and should not be consumed by pregnant women above the recommended dosages.
