Herbs and spices for feline vision!

Herbs for vision

There is a great list of herbs and spices that contain nutrients that not only protect the eyes but can contribute to the overall improvement of vision.

Vision is one of our 5 unique senses, while the eyes are the image of the soul and the gem of our face. We care of the eye area to improve our image and naturally cosmetic usage is taken for granted. Why not take care of our own eyes that benefit us with the gift of vision.

Studies have shown that the well known saffron can significantly prevent vision loss from degenerative diseases mainly associated with cell aging, while improving vision. It stops vision loss at the third age and may reverse macular degeneration.

Curcuma or turmeric, due to its high content of vitamins A, C & E, protects vision, while its antioxidant action removes toxins from the body. At the same time it prevents and faces the creation of cataract while delaying the aging of the retina. The same action seems to have garlic at a lower level.

Euphrasia is known from antiquity for its beneficial effect on vision. Drops accelerate recovery from infections, reddening, irritations, and has been shown to lower blood sugar levels, a factor contributing to eye protection, as diabetes is responsible for many eye diseases. The action of euphrasia is particularly effective for eye protection mainly externally, and is not inhibitory like other herbs.

Green tea, as a powerful antioxidant, protects against free radicals, responsible for glaucoma, cataract and macular degeneration, and helps prevent many chronic diseases of the eyes. Polyphenols containing green tea protect against damage caused by ultraviolet radiation while healing the retinal cells.

People who already suffer from glaucoma can get into their ginkgo biloba diet. Ginkgo biloba has been shown to improve blood flow to the retina and also improves vision. As a powerful antioxidant, it protects cells and reduces fluid production in the eyes, thereby reducing eye pressure.

The dill, rich source of β – carotene and lutein, oregano – filled vitamin E and antioxidants and parsley also a source of β – carotene and vitamin C, significantly protect vision.

The bilberry, a type of blueberry rich in vitamin C, flavonoids and a powerful antioxidant, greatly improves night vision! The same properties have black berries and cranberries, belonging to the same family. They reduce the time of vision adjustment to darkness and reduce fatigue in the eyes. The extract protects neural retinal cells and improves blood circulation, helping to protect against diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration.

Try to protect your precious eyesight by using herbs and spices from your kitchen!
